Photography Lesson #1

I began taking online photography lessons. The teacher is a photographer in Montana and has a 10 lesson course that she is offering for free. She bases most of her lessons on landscape photos, something I haven't been doing much of lately.

Assignment #1 - Abstract Photo. Subjects should not be recognizable. This photo follows the rule of thirds, with the texture in the top third of the photo in a horizontal line.
(for some insight, this is a piece of firewood that I found at my brother's house. It has a leading line across the top third of the photo)

Assignment #2 - Take pictures of a subject from various viewpoints.
